Run, Run, As Fast As You Can, You Can't Catch Me...

I saw a gingerbread house kit at the store and was tempted. Until I looked at the price. Fourteen bucks?? I'm far too cheap for that!

Solution? Google.

This is what we came up with and made. From scratch. I mean, from flour and molassas scratch.

The children had a great time!

Oh, and see that icing-squeezer-thing? One of the best buys I've ever made. Way, way better than icing bags.

I am very happy to see your creativity, the gingerbread hose looks fab! I am kind of jealous, I really need to do the same for my kids!

That looks fantastic. I bought a kit from Aldi, but they sure aren't cheap - I should have tried making my own!

Wow, that turned out very cute. I bet it was much more fun making one from scratch anyways.

Well, I don't know why they would call it a kit if you had to mix your own flour and molasses, because that's basically from scratch, if you ask me. You are gingerbread rock star, Amy! I loved these pics. Thanks for letting me know you posted them. I had a great time at your blog.
