Sunday Morning Smiles

This morning I peeked into Dylan's room to see if he was awake. He was slowly trying to wake up. He groggily looked over and smiled.

"Mom, I have a song to sing you."

"Oh? Which one?"

"You don't know it, it's new."

"Mmmm..."

"A six-year-old boy is very strong.
A six-year-old boy takes care of his mom.
A six-year-old boy is very strong.
A six-year-old boy takes care of his mom."

Awwww...I love these moments.

You just won a prize at Want What You Have and I am trying not to be jealous. (Let's forget the fact that I didn't even enter!)

As the mom of a new six year old, I have to say...I love those sweet moments as well. Do they really have to grow up and get bigger? These moments are why I am focused on treasuring the time on hand instead of running through to the weekend. Thanks for stopping by my blog and come back soon. I'm really trying to keep it up, even with the stats class. My next post will probably have pics of my 6 year old & t-ball. :))

Hi, Amy! Glad you stopped by!

What a cute blog you have....and such sweet boys. I can't wait until my little one is old enough to sing made-up songs to me. :)

But I'm really freaking out over your bear story! Wow! That would have terrified me to no end.

Sounds like a conversation from an A.A. Milne story - that is what I love about Milne - his stories somehow understand the mind of a child.

How sweet for you - happy mama!
